What form of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Cash and Paypal. We cannot accept personal checks.

How far is the beach?

The Beach is one small block or a 2 minute walk from The Dreamcatcher. Ocean Park Beach is the widest beach in San Juan.

Do you allow pets?

Yes, we allow for one dog per room (up to 50 lbs) for an additional fee of $40/night. Please note that dogs are not permitted in The Dreamcatcher Suite, The Gentleman Suite, The Poet, The Elizabeth or any indoor communal areas.

Do your rates include all fees and taxes?

Rates subject to a 9% room tax. There are no other service fees.

Do you allow children to stay?

Children 8 years and older are welcome to stay at the Dreamcatcher. An additional twin bed can be added for a surcharge of $25/night in certain rooms.

Do you offer airport pick ups?

We do not offer airport Pick Ups.


Please take a taxi from the airport. It is a very convenient 10 minute ride. You do not have to schedule a ride as there are plenty of cars waiting. Please inform the taxi driver that we are located inside the Ocean Park Community.


The ride is about $20.

Uber is currently not allowed to do Pick Ups from the airport but you can use Uber on your way back as Drop Offs are possible. Uber also operates to and from anywhere else on the island.

What are your check-in and check-out times?



EARLY CHECK-IN: 12pm for $50 (based on availability).


LATE-CHECK-IN: All Check-Ins after 10pm are subject to a $25 late-check-in fee and must be scheduled at least 24 hours before arrival.




LATE CHECK-OUT:  until 2pm for $50 (based on availability).

What is your cancelation policy?

If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.


Please note: Different cancellation policies may apply when reservation was made via a 3rd party booking service (e.g., Airbnb, Expedia) Those bookings must be cancelled through the applicable provider, and cannot be cancelled through us.

Is breakfast included in the rate?

Breakfast is not included in the rate. Every day from 8am-12pm (on weekdays) and from  8am-1pm (on weekends) we serve Breakfast, starting at $12. You do not need to book ahead and can join as you wish.

Do you have rooms with private bathrooms?

Yes, the vast majority of our rooms have a private bath. The only room that shares facilities is "The Glass Cottage".  While the bathrooms for the "The Poet" and "The Elizabeth" are private, the are NOT en-suite. 

Do your rooms have Mosquito Nets?

While our rooms do not have mosquito nets by default, we are happy to provide them on request.

Is Smoking allowed?

No, Smoking is prohibited anywhere on premise.

What are your Front Desk Hours?

Front Desk Hours are from 8am-10 pm but we offer 24 hour check-in.

Do you have rooms that can sleep more than two guests?

Yes, the following rooms can sleep more than two guests:
The Goddess Suite - 4 guests (2 Full Beds)

The Gentleman Suite - 3 guests (1 King, 1 Twin Bed on request)

The Dreamcatcher Suite - 3 guests (1 King, addl. Twin Bed on request)

The Elizabeth - 3 guests (1 Queen, addl. Twin Bed on request)

How far are you from Old San Juan?

10 Minutes with an Uber ($11) or Taxi ($17), 30 Minutes per Bus ($0.75)

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have free street parking.

Can I consume meat at The Dreamcatcher?

Yes, but you cannot prepare it in our communal kitchen.

Do the rooms have a minibar/fridge?

No, but all rooms have a designated space in a Communal Fridge, located in the Outdoor Kitchen.

Do you have a bar/restaurant?

No, but we offer Daily Breakfast and Brunch and weekly Dinner Events. Further we have a Drinks & Snack Bar that is operated by "Honor System".

How often do you offer Yoga and do I need to sign up for it?

Daily, we offer a morning Yoga class on the beach. Please sign up at Front Desk the day before, classes are $15 per person.

Are there restaurants or bars in walking distance?

Yes, please see our hand drawn map with over 100 recommendations in walking distance. You will receive a copy of this map upon check-in.

Do you offer Honeymoon Packages?

While we do not offer any particular packages, we offer Daily Tours, Events (for e.g. Salsa, Tarot) and In-Room Couples Massages (Thai, Deep Tissue, Swedish). You can book these services either with your room or with our Front Desk.  For Honeymooners, we recommend the Dreamcatcher Suite.

Do you have TV's?


Do you offer Bike Rentals?

Yes, we are working with local rental places and bikes are being delivered to The Dreamcatcher.

Are there laundry facilities at The Dreamcatcher?

While guests cannot access our laundry area, we offer laundry service for $20 per bag.

Do you have rooms with Kitchen(ette)?

No, but all rooms have access to a fully equipped Communal Kitchen.

Where can I buy Groceries?

There are several Grocery Stores and Fruit Stands in Walking Distance, there is als  a 24hr Walgreens. Our Hosts are happy to point them out to you and we have listed them in our hand drawn map.

Are taxis operating 24 hours?

Yes and we are happy to call a taxi for you. We now also have Uber in Puerto Rico and recommend this service.

Does Uber operate in Puerto Rico?

Yes, it does and we highly recommend it!

What is the weather like in Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico has one of the most unvarying climates in the world. Temperatures year-round range from 75° to 85°F (24°-29°C). Easterly trade winds pass across the island year round. Puerto Rico has a rainy season which stretches from April into November

When is High Travel Season in Puerto Rico?

The months of December-April are considered High Season. A very good time to visit Puerto Rico is from May to June, right after the busy winter season and just before the hotter and sometimes rainy summer. Spring weather is also very pleasant, barely escaping the mid-80s on most days.
